Using FrontPage & Access 2000 to Develop Online Data Forms
WWWroot
: This is the top of the three for your Web site. This should be your
default Web directory.
C:\inetpub\wwwroot
is the top of the tree for your Web site. This should be your
default Web directory where you should create any physical directories on your Web site.
Note: We don t recommend you manually work with the files or directories in the
drive of C:\inetpub\wwwroot since that s your "window" to the public. This is the
directory where your published pages reside. Instead, you will have a mirror copy of
the same set of directories and files your FrontPage program works with. Let's call it
My Webs
. It is likely to reside in a directory specified by you. It is important to
understand this, because you will not find any data in the database file in the working
directory when you start testing data input from a form. The database is published to
the
C:\inetpub\wwwroot
. You will find out more on this later in the
workshop.
