Community Outreach
As a result of a NGO Support Grant received from Counterpart Tajikistan, Shahrvand successfully
carried out community mobilization activities with three communities located in the Moskovsky and
Kulob districts. The communities showed a strong interest and good motivation in addressing their
problems. Two out of three communities have received Community Action Grants from Counterpart
Tajikistan on competitive basis to carry out their Community Action Plans. Both communities
planned to repair drinking water pipelines connecting to local medical centers.
