Planning process; and a workshop on lines of authority and relationship building. The Network
meeting was useful in helping the Dashoguz CSSC improve skills in the following areas:
Launching new projects; improving relationships with other Counterpart affiliated organizations;
understanding employee motivations; understanding Counterpart's strategic plans and the
structure of the Network; and outlining next steps.
The Dashoguz CSSC Manager participated in quarterly Community Outreach meeting during
which participants discussed plans for Community Outreach activities over the next 10 months.

Activity Overview
International Center for Not for Profit Law (ICNL) during the reporting period conducted 13
Roundtables all over Uzbekistan (Namangan, Andijan, Fergana, Gulistan, Djizak, Samarkand, Karshi,
Termez, Nukus, Urgench, Bukhara, Navoyi and Tashkent) on social partnership, mechanisms of
cooperation, experience and perspectives. Counterpart and its CSSCs were responsible for the
following tasks:
Preparing of a preliminary lists of participants of each Roundtable;
Inviting the participants;
Participating in each Roundtable.
Publishing the results of the event on Counterpart's web site.

Activity Overview
The CSSC has started to provide NGOs and Initiative groups with consultations.
On June 6 18, the CSSC conducted a telephone survey to ask the residents of Tashkent city about
Civil Society. The results of the survey were presented on the Conference on Development of
Civil Society in Uzbekistan conducted on June 19, 2002.
