Standard and may include:

Rescue / Safety Lines (minimum 16mm diameter)

Communication Equipment (intrinsically safe)

Breathing apparatus (self escape rescue and working / rescue sets)

First Aid Equipment (minimum travelling first aid kit as Health and
Safety (First Aid) Regulations Approved Code of Practice)
n
Road Safety Equipment.
11.2.5
Electrical safety equipment must be certified as intrinsically safe.
11.3
ATMOSPHERIC TESTING EQUIPMENT
11.3.1
As a minimum, atmospheric monitoring equipment must be capable of
continuously monitoring for flammable gas (methane), toxic gas
(hydrogen sulphide), and oxygen enrichment / depletion. Where other
atmospheric risks may be present, as identified in the Risk Assessment and
in the Safety Method Statement, additional equipment to monitor for
specific gases will be required.
11.4
MAINTENANCE AND EXAMINATION OF EQUIPMENT
11.4.1
All equipment requires to be maintained in efficient working order and in
good repair.
11.4.2
When not in use, suitable storage for the equipment is to be provided.
11.4.3
Examinations of respiratory protective equipment, ropes, harnesses and
resuscitation equipment shall be carried out at least once a month by a
Competent Person. A written record of the examination must be kept by
the person responsible for the equipment.
11.4.4
Atmospheric monitoring and lifting equipment shall be examined and,
where necessary, calibrated by a Competent Person at the intervals
specified by the manufacturer. Records of any calibration must be kept by
the person responsible for the equipment.
11.4.5
Where a defect is noted, the defect must be recorded and the equipment
withdrawn from service, and the defect remedied before further use.
